Wittenborn & Martin Retire From IMH Board of Trustees

WATSEKA, ILLINOIS - Officials at Iroquois Memorial Hospital announced that Dennis Wittenborn and Maggie Martin have resigned from the IMH Board of Trustees.The announcement was made by Chuck Bohlmann, IMH CEO, at a recent recognition event. Bohlmann took the opportunity to personally thank Dennis for being a peer, a mentor and most especially for the sixteen years he served on the IMH Board of Trustees.
Wittenborn was appointed on July 3, 1997 by Ted Horner, Mayor of the City of Watseka. Wittenborn was elected Board Chairman in June 2009. Under his leadership as Board Chairman two new clinic s, the IMH Multi-Specialty Physicians Clinic and Iroquois Women's Health Clinic, were opened. The IMH Specialty Clinic added Dermatology, Podiatry and Wound Care to the many specialties offered to area residents. IMH's commitment to technology was seen with the addition of Digital Mammography and the only 160 slice CT within a 90 mile radius. His most recent accomplishment as Board Chairman is the independent partnership with Presence Health.
Mr. Wittenborn and his wife Rhonda have 4 married children, 14 grandchildren and one great granddaughter, all living in the Iroquois Memorial Service area.
Maggie Martin was appointed to the IMH Board of Trustees by the Mayor of Watseka in 2004. She served as a Board member and liaison between the IMH Board and the IMH Development Council. Bohlmann said, "Along with her fellow Board members Maggie provided leadership and direction to take us to the point where we are today and our new relationship with Presence Health."
Martin served as chair of the IMH Development Council for fourteen years from its inception to 2006. During her tenure as Development Council Chair over $5 million had been generously gifted from area residents and businesses to support the growth of Iroquois Memorial. Projects included construction of the Outpatient Center, the IMH Kentland Clinic, a new Ambulance Entrance, Patient Elevator and Helipad, and construction of the Surgery Center.
Maggie and her husband, Dick Martin, are the owners of WGFA Radio. They have five children, 13 grandchildren (1 deceased) and 2 great grandchildren.
