IMH Medical Staff Announces Scholarship Winners
WATSEKA, ILLINOIS - Philip Zumwalt, MD, Chief of the IMH Medical staff, is pleased to announce that the IMH Medical Staff has awarded a total of $10,000 in scholarships to twenty-five area students who are pursuing their education in health related fields of study. According to Dr. Zumwalt, the IMH Medical Staff Scholarship Program provides an opportunity for the Medical Staff to invest in the next generation of healthcare workers. He hopes that a number of the students will choose to work in the local area after completing their education.

Brooke Becker from Watseka - Currently attending the University of Indianapolis studying Physical Therapy. Expected date of graduation is May 2016.
Angela Behrends from Danforth - 2014 graduate of Iroquois West High School with plans to attend Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville to pursue a degree in nursing.
Monica Bruens from Watseka - Currently attending Kankakee Community College studying nursing. Expected graduation is December 2014. Monica is a 2013 scholarship recipient.
Dylan DeFauw from Watseka - Currently attending Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in their Post-Baccalaureate Accelerated Bachelor of Science program. Dylan has worked at IMH in the Grow Your Own program.
Keri DePatis from Donovan - Currently attending Bradley University studying Pre-Pharmacy with an expected graduation date of August 2014 then attending Midwestern University to obtain her PharmD degree in May 2018. Keri is a 2012 & 2013 scholarship recipient.
Rachel Donaldson from Milford - 2014 graduate of Milford High School with plans to attend Illinois College to study Pre-Med.
Austin Giroux from Watseka - 2014 graduate of Watseka Community High School with plans to attend Kankakee Community College to pursue a degree in Radiology.
Christopher Florido from Watseka - Currently attending the University of Illinois College of Medicine with expected graduation date of 2017. Christopher is a 2013 scholarship recipient.
Marianne Florido from Watseka - Currently attending University of Illinois studying Community Health. Expected graduation is May 2016. Marianne is a 2013 scholarship recipient.
Melissa Florido from Watseka - Currently attending St. George's University School of Medicine with an expected graduation date of June 2017.
Patrick Florido from Watseka - Currently attending the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford with expected graduation in 2017. Patrick is a 2013 scholarship recipient.
Alison Hamrick from Donovan - Currently attending Butler University studying Pharmacy with an expected graduation date of May 2018 with a Doctorate of Pharmacy.
Darci Hawkins from Sheldon - Currently attending Lakeview College of Nursing. Expected graduation date is Spring 2015. Darci is a 2012 & 2013 scholarship recipient.
Jessica Hubert from Martinton - Currently attending Illinois State University studying nutrition. Her expected graduation date is May 2015 for a Master's Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences; Dietetics. Jessica is a 2011, 2012 & 2013 scholarship recipient.
Allison Kaper from Watseka - Currently attending Bethel University studying Biochemistry with plans to become a Physician Assistant. Expected graduation is Spring 2017. Allison is a 2013 scholarship recipient.
Grant Kaper from Watseka - Currently attending Southwest Baptist University studying Physical Therapy. His expected graduation date is May 2017.
Jamie Knapp from Watseka - Currently attending Midwestern University studying Pharmacy with expected graduation date of May 2016. Jamie is a 2012 & 2013 scholarship recipient.
Ashley Luhman from Cissna Park - Currently attending the University of Indianapolis studying Physical Therapy. Expected graduation date is 2017.
Anastasia McRoberts from Sheldon - Currently attending Aquinas College with Biology Major and Chemistry Minor. She plans to become a physician. Anastasia has worked at IMH in the Grow Your Own program. Anastasia is a 2013 scholarship recipient.
Layn Newman from Sheldon - Currently attending Northwestern University to obtain a Masters of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics. Expected graduation date is March 2015.
Tracie Rice from Sheldon - Currently attending Kankakee Community College for nursing. Expected graduation date is December 2015. Tracie works at IMH in the Grow Your Own Program and prn as a CNA.
Bethany Sexton from Danville - Currently attending Purdue University studying to be a Speech Pathologist with an expected graduation date of May 2017. Bethany is a 2012 & 2013 scholarship recipient.
Megan Sikma from Clifton - Plans to attend University of Bridgeport for Master's in Dental Hygiene with graduation date of June 2016.
Ashtyn Sorenson from Watseka - 2014 graduate of Watseka Community High School with plans to attend Kankakee Community College to pursue a degree in Nursing.
